ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The role is part of the BAT Bangladesh Corporate Finance team and reports to the Senior Corporate Finance Manager. The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively support the delivery of treasury operations and strategy and drive operational improvements. This role’s day-to-day focus is on working with the internal stakeholders of the business and Corporate Finance team to prepare robust and detailed cashflow forecasting, daily fund management, cashflow reporting, and meaningful analysis, often for senior Finance stakeholders (e.g. Head of Finance) and key business meetings and ban operations management.

What You Will Be Accountable For
- Banking operations management
- Facilitate LC opening, manage queries, ensure month-end, quarterly, and year-end close activities, statutory and management financial reporting (actual financials) are performed on time and compliant with SOX requirements;
- Liaise with banks and internal stakeholders on the matter of updating facility letters and signatories
- Monthly catchups with banking partners to stay updated on financial markets, Central bank regulations and guidelines, etc.
- Cashflow management and Reporting
- Ensure preparation and timely submission of monthly cashflow forecasts, including daily and weekly fund management, actuals update and monthly foreign currency requirement forecasts
- FX exposure management netted against incoming receipts
- Manage Treasury Committee Meeting calendar and prepare deck to share current market update with senior management with respect to macroeconomic indicators, FDI, financial markets, hard currency movement versus taka, investment options, etc.
- Controls and compliance
- Ensure 100% OTIF completion of relevant SOx controls
- Update signatories and facility letters as required
- Provide approvals for bank instructions and challans as required
- Ensure OTIF completion and submission of CIB and FDI reporting
- Managing team
- Provide mentorship to other team members and steer the team to continuously deliver value and results
- Ensure appropriate level of knowledge transfer for new team members
- Business partnering
- Identify, assess, and where appropriate, implement efficiency improvements; ensure business needs and relationships are fulfilled and enhanced through proactive involvement and interaction;
- Manage the contractual resources and ensure the business deliveries on time
- Are you familiar with managing senior stakeholders within and outside your organisation?
- Are you able to connect the dots between your workspace and organizational agenda?
- Do you seek to tackle stretch challenges and deliver within exact deadlines?
- Business graduate with at least 3-4 years of finance/accounting/audit experience in banking sector or reputed company within FMCG industry
- Possess strong technical and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to work with all levels within the organization & experience in managing senior managers.
- Good communications skills with ability to explain and defend issues with respect to key decisions.
- Ability to establish priorities of key deliverables.
- An ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within the company and external parties.
- Ability to handle large volumes of information and present it in an accurate and relevant format.
- A good understanding of other functional areas, e.g. operations and marketing would be an advantage.
